Shootout Championship Results
 Congratulations to the the The Whole 9 Yards and 8 Ball Shooters for winning the 9 Ball and 8 Ball Shootouts and advancing the the Cue Sports International Expo (CSI Expo).  Both teams shot exceptionally well and we look forward to you representing the Polk County USA Pool League at the CSI Expo/USA Pool League National Championships in Las Vegas from Feb. 18th until Feb 28th, 2026.  Both team are receiving $5000 for travel assistance and a free set of Team Shirts to wear during the tournaments.  

The New Year
We are continuing to try to grow the league by gaining both new players and new teams.  The USA Pool is still free to join and only $10 a night to play if you are on a team.  As the league grows we will remain committed to providing travel assistance and 1 entry into the USA Pool League National Championships for every 10 teams that play in the Polk County USA Pool League to the National Championships in Las Vegas.
 
MVP Format for 2026
One of the things that has bothered me for the last couple of years is the default MVP status that the league uses.  It awards a player that may play every week over someone that has truly performed in an exceptional way.  I decided to change that in 2025 and I really liked how that format worked.  It might cause a little more work for me as a League Manager but I like that fact it wards the person who truly has performed exceptionally rather that the person who played the most.  For 2026 MVP will be awarded to the person with the highest win percentage that has played in at least 66% of the matches during the session and you must play in one of the last two weeks of the session.  To determine the win percentage the number of wins will be divided by the number of weeks played.  If a person has 8 wins in 10 week session then the formula is 8 divided by 10.  That equals .8 or an 80% win rate.   This puts an emphasis on winning every week vice just participating.

2026 USAPL National Championships in Las Vegas
Did you know that you do not have to win your trip to go to the National Championships in Las Vegas? 
For those teams that were not able to win the travel assistance to the USA Pool League National Championship there is another option to get to Las Vegas and every year there are many teams and single players that use this option.  You can pay your own way to go and play in the singles, teams and mini tournaments.  This is one of the big difference between leagues offer by CSI (USA Pool League and BCA Pool League) and other national leagues in the USA and World.
